About

Phu Yen — Another Vietnam — is a day trip from Nha Trang to one of the most distinctive and lesser-known tourist regions of Central Vietnam.

There is no atmosphere of popular resorts here. Instead, you can expect ocean panoramas, little-known beaches, ancient architecture, volcanic and basalt landscapes, historical sites, and the atmospheric waterfront of Tuy Hoa.

This itinerary is for those who want to see another Vietnam — more natural, peaceful, and authentic.

Tour itinerary
06:00–06:30 — departure from Nha Trang

Pickup from hotels and early departure to Phu Yen Province.

Along the way, you can watch familiar resort landscapes gradually give way to rural areas, mountains, rice fields, and the coast of Central Vietnam.

The easternmost point of Phu Yen

One of the main stops on the itinerary is the region’s scenic eastern tip, offering expansive views of the South China Sea.

This place is especially beautiful at sunrise and in the early morning, when sunlight gradually appears over the ocean.

Here you can take panoramic photos and enjoy views of the virtually endless sea.

Historic lighthouse

Next is a visit to a historic lighthouse associated with the region’s maritime history.

For many years, the lighthouse helped ships navigating along the coast of Phu Yen find their way.

It is not only a historical site but also an excellent viewpoint overlooking the ocean.

Bai Mon Beach

The next stop is Bai Mon, a picturesque beach with a sandy shore and clear seawater.

You can walk along the shore, relax, enjoy nature, and take photos.

Unlike the popular beaches of major resorts, this part of the coast retains a more peaceful atmosphere.

Basalt gardens

One of the most unusual natural stops on the itinerary is a formation of basalt rocks.

The unique structure of the rocks was formed by ancient geological processes, creating an unusual landscape reminiscent of a stone garden.

This is a particularly interesting place for nature and geology enthusiasts and those looking for unique photo locations.

Catholic cathedral

The itinerary then continues to a historic Catholic cathedral built in the late 19th century.

The building’s architecture combines European and Gothic elements and stands out among the surrounding urban development.

Here you can take photos and learn about part of the region’s cultural heritage.

Lunch

Lunch featuring traditional Vietnamese dishes and fresh seafood is included during the tour.

This is an opportunity to try local products and discover the culinary traditions of the coastal region.

Temple of the Sea Goddess

The next stop is a temple dedicated to the sea goddess, whom local residents revere as the protector of fishermen and sailors.

The temple is located near the coast and offers an opportunity to learn about the traditions and spiritual culture of Vietnam’s coastal communities.

Tuy Hoa — the center of Phu Yen

The final part of the journey takes place in Tuy Hoa, the administrative and cultural center of Phu Yen Province.

Here you will see the central stele and take a walk along the waterfront.

The waterfront offers views of the city, river, and surrounding areas. It is a peaceful end to an eventful day before returning to Nha Trang.
